Nekkar marks the head of Boötes the Herdsman – a yellow giant star whose name comes from a mistranslation of the Arabic for “cattle driver.” A small error that became permanent, like so many of the best star names. It sits quietly at the top of the Herdsman’s kite-shaped constellation, steady and warm.
This arrow is thin yellow stripes laid carefully over a long yellow colorblock – restrained and considered, all warmth in careful order. Bleached turkey feather fletch, naturally shed. Cedar shaft, stained, finished, and branded with the Hotfelt mark. Approx. 26½ inches.
