Acamar Arrow no. 31

Eridanus is the river constellation — one of the longest in the sky, winding slowly across the southern hemisphere like something with no particular hurry to arrive anywhere. Acamar sits near its end: a bright double star, two suns in slow orbit around each other, 161 light-years away.

This arrow carries those colors — the deep navy of a night river, copper catching the last of the light, red like something that has been burning quietly for a long time.

Turkey feather fletch, hand-sculpted. Hand-shaped cedar shaft, stained by hand. About 26 inches long.
